screaminholler

Area: Shadow Pines Campgrounds aka Camp Kill

Character: The Chainsaw Wielder: Mason "The Keeper" Flint

Backstory: Nestled deep within the dense woods of Dark Acres, Camp Shadow Pines was once a place of laughter, friendship, and summer adventures. Children from all around flocked to the camp, eager to make memories under the sun and stars. However, one summer, a series of mysterious disappearances began to haunt the camp.

The legend speaks of Mason Flint, a reclusive figure who lived in a dilapidated cabin just beyond the campgrounds. Once a beloved camp counselor, Mason was driven to madness after a tragic accident claimed the life of his younger brother during a campfire mishap. Consumed by grief and guilt, he withdrew from the world, taking refuge in his cabin and letting his mind spiral into darkness.

As rumors of the disappearances spread, campers began to whisper about Mason, claiming he had become a sinister figure, wielding a chainsaw and haunting the woods at night. It was said that the sound of his chainsaw echoed through the trees, sending shivers down the spines of those who dared to listen. Campers were warned to stay away from the edges of the woods, lest they encounter “The Keeper,” as he was known—a protector turned predator.

One fateful night, the camp was thrown into chaos when the killer was revealed to be a camp staff member, intent on creating fear and panic. In the midst of the horror, Mason emerged from the shadows, his chainsaw roaring to life. A clash ensued, and amidst the chaos, the truth became clear: Mason was not the monster they believed him to be; he was the only one willing to fight back against the true evil stalking the camp.

Now, Camp Shadow Pines stands in eerie silence, its cabins abandoned and overgrown with vines. The story of the summer of terror lingers in the air, a warning to those who dare to return. Rumors say that Mason still roams the woods, searching for his lost brother and keeping a watchful eye over the campgrounds. Visitors who venture near his cabin report hearing the chainsaw’s revving, feeling as if they are being watched from the shadows.

Those who dare to explore the camp may encounter Mason’s spirit, a tormented figure with a chainsaw clutched in his hands. While he seeks to protect the innocent from the true horror that once lurked within the camp, his appearance can be terrifying. Some campers have even claimed to see him standing guard at the edge of the woods, a silent sentinel against the darkness.

But beware: the line between protector and predator is thin, and Mason’s chainsaw is a chilling reminder that in the depths of Shadow Pines, not everything is as it seems. Venture into the camp at your own risk, and remember that sometimes, the greatest danger lies not in the woods, but in the shadows of those you think you know.
