Backstory: Once a beloved farmer in Dark Acres, Barnaby was known for his kindness and his beautiful fields of corn. However, after the disappearance of his fiancée, he became consumed by grief. In his sorrow, he created a scarecrow to stand vigil over his crops, hoping it would bring her spirit back.

As the years passed, Barnaby’s mind unraveled. He began to believe that the scarecrow had a life of its own, whispering to him in the night. When the townsfolk abandoned the holler, Barnaby stayed behind, becoming one with the very earth he once tended. Now, his spirit resides within the scarecrow, eternally watching over the fields, longing for his lost love. Visitors often hear his mournful whispers carried by the wind, warning them to stay away, while the scarecrow’s hollow eyes seem to follow them as they pass.
